Aggressively pursue abandoned buildings that enable crime.
Advocate for harsher penalties for crimes committed against seniors.
Support humane efforts to reduce the stray animal population, especially vicious dogs, as they are more liable to cause car accidents, attack, and spread disease.
"Do Something” - Gang Prevention Program to create activities to deter children and teens from joining gangs, provide opportunities to get a GED, increase access for youth to vocational/trade programs, and increase dropout prevention efforts.
Education & Job Creation
Attract and keep commercial retailers in District D by supporting incentives.
Push for federal grants that assist with small business development.
Offer entrepreneurial workshops and programming and increase skilled workers in the job market.
Continue building on the existing second chance program which provides individuals with a troubled past assistance through training and job opportunities.
Infrastructure & Beautification
Prevent flooding by supporting funding for updating the district’s drainage system.
Advocate for clean streets, and continuous pot hole repairs.
Enhance neighborhoods and parks with beautification projects such as tree planting and playground repairs.
Quality of Life
Reinforce the existing free minor home repairs fund for seniors.
Push for stricter guidelines on illegal dumping, abandoned buildings, and weeded lots.
Support opening more after-school programs throughout District D.
